Current HR Job Market in India

On LinkedIn, there are over 6,000+ HR job listings in India currently. According to a report by Apna.co (India at Work 2024”), there were 1.2 lakh (120,000+) job openings posted across many sectors in 2024. HR is one of the sectors involved, but not all of these openings are HR roles.

Given the above, it is estimated that the number of HR-specific job openings across India at any given time is tens of thousands, probably somewhere between 20,000-60,000 depending on month, region, and seniority.
